About

Over 10 years in the Health, Retirement and the Aged Care sectors

After matriculating in Melbourne, Russell attended Dookie Agricultural College in northern Victoria completing a diploma Agricultural Science and Farm Management.

He then completed an Economics degree at Monash University whilst working part time, initially at the Rural Finance Corporation.

During his final year at Monash, he negotiated the purchase of a farm sales business at Leongatha in South Gippsland where and he and his wife and two children spent eight idyllic years before returning to Melbourne where Russell spent around three years in a family residential estate agency before joining Knight Frank in Melbourne’s CBD.

Here Russell started in Office Leasing, was then recruited into City Sales and was then appointed to head up Retail Sales, Leasing and Property Management.

He was later appointed Managing Director Victoria just as the property crash of the 1990s struck and later moved to Hong Kong with Knight Frank where he oversaw the sale of Australian, British and US property in Asia.

A sea change to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland followed and later a move to Brisbane where Russell re-joined Knight Frank in late 2008 as the Global Financial Crisis was making itself felt.

Russell became aware of the ageing population and strong growth in the over 65s cohort and the subsequent potential for a business specialising in the requirements of the health, retirement and aged care sectors.

He approached Knight Frank’s Qld MD to start a Health Retirement and Aged Care business and has been totally immersed in these sectors ever since. He headed up the business for some 10 years before resigning towards the end of 2019 to set up his own business.
